VI
What did you do?
At night, Mary and John went to a bar because they worked hard all day. They were tired and needed to rest for a while. They arrived at the bar and started to talk about how was their day. John asked Mary to talk a little about her day.
She said that she woke up very early, took a bath, ate something and went to the apprenticeship. In the morning and in the afternoon she stayed there working and learning. She started to perceive the importance of anatomy in the nursery. Now, at night, she said, I am here drinking a soda with you. This is it. Now you tell me about your day.
Ok, said John. John said that he woke up late because he stayed all the night studying for the English test that he had to do in the morning at CESA. He ran fast and arrived there when the test began. After doing the test I went to the apprenticeship and there I discovered how to use the X-ray machine. Now I know what means: Skull PA/ ORBIT and SINUSES.
- Did you work on Saturday?
- No, I didn’t work on saturday. Why?
- Because called your house and you weren’t there.

§2 O Passado Simples – Verbos regulares e irregulares

§3 As formas negativas e interrogativas do passado simples.
As fomas negativas e interrogativas do passado simples seguem praticamente as mesmas regras do presente simples, tendo como únicas mudanças a troca do verbo auxiliar DO (presente) pelo DID (passado) e das formas do “TO BE”: “am” e “is” (presente) por “was” (passado) e “are” (presente) por “were” (passado).
